We are a church that is centred around a faith in Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of everyone who believes in him. This faith is open for all to discover and our church reflects a variety of ages and backgrounds. Central to everything we do is the Bible. We take this very seriously and study it carefully to understand its message and to apply it to our lives. Evangelical. This word simply means that we believe in the good news of Jesus Christ. Human beings have made a mess of their own lives and of this world. We did not follow the maker's instructions and now we face the consequences. Because God loved us He sent His son Jesus. He showed us how to live and then He died on our behalf. Because of this our sins can be forgiven and we can live a new life which begins now and lasts forever.
 
Baptist. This word refers to the Bible's teaching about baptism. As people came to faith in Jesus Christ they expressed this by being immersed in water. This amazing gift is rich in meaning. It signifies God's promise to us as we follow Jesus. It is a symbol of new life and of spiritual cleansing. It is something we can always refer back to when times get tough. If we belong to Jesus then we are safe for all eternity.
